Prakash Mehta took oath as Cabinet Minister of Maharashtra on 31st October 2014. He was declared as the Minister of Housing, Labor and Mining. In addition to this, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis entrusted Housing Minister Prakash Mehta with the responsibility of being Guardian Minister of Raigad on 26th December 2014. Guardian Ministers are appointed to look after the development plans and related affairs of each district.
